UrbanThings accelerate business growth with new hires
UrbanThings are thrilled to announce a number of new starters that will help support our ambitious growth plans for 2021 and beyond, following the extensive success of our Ticketless platform.
We’re anticipating growth as our smart technology has proved vital for public transport operators as they adjust their social distancing precautions. Our platform combines real-time passenger and reservation data to predict vehicle occupancy and provide Ticketless customers with safe travel options during and beyond COVID-19. To enable us to continue future-proofing the public transport market, we’ve expanded our product, marketing and development teams – so without further ado:
John Fagan – Product Manager
John joins us as Product Manager, bringing plenty of experience in location technology, smart cities and smart mobility. He has a strong background in both technical and product roles and has previously worked at QGiS in Namibia, Multimap in UK and Australia, Bing Maps (Microsoft) and most recently Axon Vibe in Switzerland. John is also a startup community leader in Norwich, and received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of East Anglia for his work last year. John said, “I’m excited to join UT, and to be working with like-minded people who are passionate about disrupting the gas guzzling car market through sustainable urban mobility solutions. I’m looking forward to exploring how we can help our customers even further.”
Jessica Lewis-Stone – Marketing Manager
Previously at fleet software providers r2c Online, Jess will use her background in transport SaaS to keep focused on business growth in a changing and adapting market. Jess will be devising a lean marketing strategy, working closely with our customers as well as our product and sales teams to evolve the platform and align to market needs. Jess added, “I’m delighted to be joining UrbanThings at a time where keeping people connected and mobile has proven more important than ever. I’m looking forward to what we’ll achieve next – watch this space.”
George Boulton – Platform Developer
George joins the growing development team as Platform Developer, with a background in developing security-based solutions in Azure and electrical distribution software. George said, “The thing I’m most looking forward to in my role is contributing to making the lives of everyday commuters just a little bit easier.”
We’re delighted to share the news of our new starters and are incredibly excited at what these growth plans will mean for our current and future customer base. Our mission is to connect people and places via our trusted software solutions and we believe we can truly make a difference to the mobility sector with our ever-talented, ever-growing UrbanThings team.
