UrbanThings is thrilled to report that we’ve raised £455,000 in new funding from a combination of existing investors and the UK Government’s Future Fund investment scheme.

The scheme, which was announced in May, has been made available to high growth companies in the UK. It matches any funding raised from private investors during the Coronavirus pandemic, in an aim to stimulate investment in technology and innovation.

Throughout the 2020 lockdown, UrbanThings has continued to improve and build-upon our world-class mobility platform Ticketless™. We’ve been exploring how public transport is likely to change in the future, and are innovating robust products which will help operators stay ahead of the curve. The money raised will go towards further developing the Ticketless platform and expanding the team to do so.

Carl Partridge, CEO at UrbanThings said “We’re tremendously proud that our existing investors have stood by our vision to disrupt the mobility sector. We’re continuously moving our product forward and this fundraise will allow us to accelerate the development of our Demand Responsive Transit and smart mobility platform allowing transport operators to improve their profitability and increase their ridership”

We’re now on the hunt for talented people to join the team at UrbanThings. If you’re interested in being part of our journey, then see our jobs page for available roles. If you would like to speak to us about our smart ticketing solution or how we can help your operations, then please get in touch
