Meet the team – Nicole Easden

At UrbanThings, our people are the driving force behind everything we do. In our ‘Meet the Team’ series, we are proud to introduce you to the talented individuals who help shape the future of public transport.

From business development to product design, each team member brings a unique set of skills, experiences and passions to the table.

To kick the series off, we’re spotlighting Nicole, our Business Development Manager who has been with us for a year.

What does a typical day in the role look like?

Nicole: I’m at the forefront of driving new business—managing inbound demo requests, tackling daily tasks, sparking conversations with potential clients, staying active on LinkedIn, and following up on exciting new opportunities to expand our reach.

Describe what you enjoy most about working at UrbanThings

Nicole: The opportunity to attend events, build in-person relationships and develop confidence in both the market and the product.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love seeing live music, going to events and spending time with my friends, usually with my four-legged besties by my side.

Tell us a fun fact about you that might surprise your colleagues

Nicole: I spent 9 years practicing karate, several of which involved competing, before my family moved away.

If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go?

Nicole: At the end of October, I’m taking a 9-day road trip through 8 countries. We’ll be driving from the UK to Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy, France, Austria and Luxembourg! One of my main goals is to try the national dish of each country or region we visit.

You can switch jobs with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

Nicole: David Attenborough – exploring and documenting the natural world, visiting remote places and experiencing the interactions he’s had with animals and people would be an absolute dream!

If you could take a long trip by public transport with anyone, who would it be?

Nicole: Someone with amazing stories and a great sense of humour! Perhaps David Attenborough, Judi Dench for her stories and book knowledge or a comedian with deadpan sarcastic comments. Yes, we’d be sitting at the back of the bus enjoying every moment.

Nicole’s passion for building relationships and seizing new opportunities makes her an essential part of our team. You can connect with Nicole here.

Stay tuned as we continue to spotlight the incredible people behind UrbanThings.
