We travelled to Bristol last week to speak at TRANSPORT Smart Class South West. The event brings together local authorities, councils and suppliers to discuss the future of mobility in the UK, and to address the challenges that are faced.

UrbanThings CEO Carl Partridge spoke about the value of passenger data in MaaS. The presentation looked at industry trends regarding ticketing and smart payments, and how these are converging upon Mobility as a Service.

Smart Class

The current trend shows that transport is increasingly moving towards interoperable and multi-model systems, and passenger data plays a crucial role in ensuring these are implemented efficiently. How that can be achieved across both rural and urban communities was a popular talking point during the following roundtable sessions, and we feel that UrbanThings open Account-Based platform, Ticketless, is well-placed to solve many of these problems.

UrbanThings will be exhibiting at Transport Ticketing Global in January. If you’d like to find out more about MaaS, passenger data and smart ticketing, visit our stand or feel free to get in touch.
